IT JUST RUNS IN THE FAMILY!
My name is Andrew Black, the owner of Black Woodworks, and I was bound to be a craftsman. My family is filled with poets, writers, and artists of all kinds. My grandfather was a homebuilder in Milwaukee. My brother builds homes all over southern WI. My father is a talented furniture-maker himself, he started this family shop, and he stills helps me out today. I am proud to continue the family tradition of creativity!
WE LOVE WISCONSIN!
My ancestors first moved to this area in the mid-1800's, and our family has lived in the northeast corner of Dane County since 1861! In fact, our shop sits on the original site of the first barn built on our family's 60-acre farm. We have history here, with a strong connection to the area.
Best of all, we get to live and work close by one of the most vibrant cities in the USA--Madison, WI!
